Anecdotal evidence is indicating for a long time that medicinal plants like cannabis are helping patients suffering from illnesses such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and glaucoma. In addition, medical cannabis is used to alleviate pain and is becoming the preferred substitute for highly addictive opioid-based drugs.

We are passionate about medicinal plants and are spending a lot of time an energy into researching their health-supporting properties. Our aim is to close the knowledge gap between anecdotal and scientific evidence and develop nutraceuticals based on science and with proven health benefits. To this end, we use the most advanced techniques in chemical analysis, genomics, bioinformatics, medicine and plant sciences to conduct research into the medicinal properties of plants and their effects on the human health.
Our Team
Our team of researchers and experts has backgrounds in diverse field of biology, chemistry, bioinformatics and biochemistry with a specialization in understanding medicinal properties of plants and developing natural products. We are among others stationed at Simon Fraser University (SFU) and we have a strong network of specialized partners supporting us and our research with expert knowledge like bioinformatics and grant support.
